Philips electric kettle
Not working

I had bought a electric kettle eight months back but after a few days the heating of the kettle stopped. i took the kettle to the service centre for repair in shillong.they told me that the base of the kettle was defectiveand they would replace it.i had bought the kettle for my one year old baby for hot water to make his milk food and other purpose.till today i .e.08--08 i have not got it back, this is deficiency of service.i had bought many philips product without any complaints but this one has given me trouble. when ever i go to the service centre they say sorry the replacement has not arrived yet.how long does it take to get it replaced, the time it has taken for repair is more than to manufacture it new.now will i get the replacement in my lifetime or my one year old son after 20 years will get it when i am no more or i should think that my hard earned money has gone down the drain.please see that i get my replcement.
