Theft of my valuables

Hi, i was on my way home at Shanthinagar on 12/3 around 9:30 p.m in auto rickshaw and suddenly 2 guys on bike snatched my handbag. I have my sony digital camera, 3 debit cards, pan card and Rs.3000 cash in my handbag. But luckily i could note down the bike # i.e KA01 EC 4857. I went to complain at Ashoknagar police station that night near Garuda mall. The sub-inspector noted my complaint. But after few days the policemen told me that it will take a month or 2 to trace the bike #. And the policemen present there are not welcoming at all instead one of them blamed and argued with me. They are taking it so lightly as a piece of joke. I would highly appreciate if anyone can assist me.
