08039907600 - Unsolicited phone calls

Hi,

On 22nd Oct @ 10.49am I got call from 08039907600. The guy who called has asked "is this ******* and when I said yes, call got disconnected.

I thought to search that number in Google to check. But when I searched there r so many SAME complaints against this number.

I don’t know why they are confirming our name n disconnecting without telling the purpose of call. One fellow in internet has posted this is call from Standard Charted.

I'm worried whether is this to hack our number or somebody using our number & name to do some hoax call or is this info is used to any crime?

I request concerned Organization or Person to verify the owner and purpose of such call from 08039907600
