Still being charged for already disconnected numbe

I had given a request to close my airtel number in jan, through e mail, it has still not happened, till date bills are recd at my house for payment of the same and harassment from the company, False claims are made that the number is still being used by someone, i relocated to Dubai in Feb and the Sim card is with me, How can anyone use the number If someone tries reaching their customer support number, it never really get s to a human voice, Have a good mind to sue them once i get back home...
