NO REFUND EVEN AFTER 4 MONTHS

I made hotel reservations through Expedia.com in Delhi on October6, 7 and 8 and paid in full by VISA credit card. I was informed by customer service rep. any refund will be made within 3 weeks if I cancelled the booking. I arrived at RAUNAK INTERNATIONAL HOTEL, karol bagh and found the room paid for was unclean, congested and full of cockroaches. When i complained to the reception, they switched me to adjascent building where the door latch was not working, someone had smoked inside while I requested NON SMOKING ROOM, carpet strewn with food particles and A/c not functioning. With groups of visitors loitering in the corridor, there was no peace atall. I complained to the reception again and called Expedia.com to protest the same. I told them I would stay 1 night only and will check out the next day morning. They agreed and asked me to send them a mail accordingly, which I promptly did. The next day I check out to another hotel near moolchand hospital. And again I called expedia.com to inform of the same. They promised to look into the subject matter, always promising but no action. Two weeks back I got a msg from themm offering me RS 500/- as gift voucherinstead of refund of almost Rs.3000/- and apologising for the inconvinience.

Through your forum I wish to tell all EXPEDIA.COM users, that they are not what they claim to be and no response will be given to any complaint, leave alone losing your money. So do not use them unless you are happy living the way they would like you to... like some backpackers who live in a dormitory so they can make a quick buck... I have told all my friends not to rely on this website..
