Non Refund of Helicopter Charges

I had booked one tour to Amarnath and Vaishnodevi through M/s. Jai Mata Di Holidays and paid Rs.75000/- for two persons. The tour cost was interalia included Helicopter charges at Amarnath and Vaishnodevi. However on 28-8 due to bad weather the helicopter ride was suspended and we had to visit vaishnodevi temple at our own since no representative of travel agent was available at Katra. Our booking was in Hotel Devi Grand at Katra. From Hotel Devi Grand we had a telecon with the travel agent at Mumbai on 28th and 29th August who promised us to refund the said charges within 14 days of arrival. After return the travel agent is being contected number of times and demand letters are also placed on record for refund of helicopter charges which are to the tune of Rs.4900/- in our case. However alongwith us another family of 4 persons was also accompanied to whom Rs.9800/- are due. However at this juncture the travel agent is unwilling to refund the amount stating our company is in loss. The due process of recovery is being contempleted by me. In the meatime this is for kind information of all and beware from such type of travel agents who are likely to cheat you and who has proved their malafide intensions.
