My name is Arun Kumar Majumdar. I am customer of Calcutta Telephones for more than past 10 years. My landline number is 24421991. I was using BNSL Broadband connection for more than past two years. I was out of town for almost one year, So I didn't use the connection though I made timely payment of bills. Coming back to Kolkata in March 2008, I tried to use the connection and it was not working. I asked for several assistance from Broadband department and they help me but the problem was not resolved. The department suggested me that I should surrender the existing connection and apply for a new one. I did so, surrendered the old connection, returned the model and related things and applied for a new connection in late March 2008. The department told me that I can't have two connections assigned to one telephone connection i.e. 24421991. I told them by giving them a letter that it was suggested from Broadband Department itself. As best of my knowledge, the work order for the connection is issued though it is ongoing fourth month I have not receiced the connection. Sir, I am working and I need a net connection at home desperately. I was very pleased with BSNL Broadband earlier but really UPSET with the service now. I tried to call Dr. S. K Chakravarty several times as I got letters from his department regarding my use of dial up connection, but could not reach him and not hear from him/Broadband Department till now. I am planning to get another connection though I don't wish to have one else rather than BSNL but really not expecting a response from your department.
I am writing this mail to you to draw your attention.
