Dear Sir,

SUB: Complaint against poor quality of food served in Rajdhani

RE: Train NO. 2442 ex Bilaspur to Howrah

I am regular traveler and passenger of Indian Railway traveling through out India by various trains. I understood that the quality of food in all the passenger & mail express trains even payment of reasonable prices are not served up to the mark to the satisfaction of public.

But this time while traveling from Bilsapur to Howrah by Rajdhani also, I find that the quality of food is very very poor. First of all the Dinner is served not as per the menu of Rajdhani nor the evening tea was served as per menu, when menu was desired the same is not placed for verification. Secondly, the dal was burnt due to excessive heat, the paratha were not properly prepared, the very salted curd was placed in plastic, the sweets was also very hard prepared more than two/three days ago, similarly the quality of Rice was also poor, the vegetables was also mixed type without any taste simply boiled, though in other Rajdhani/ Satabadi the quality and service is very good. In evening tea also only one sweet, one Pkt Bhujiya, Biscuit & Tea was provided though in my opinion the menu of Rajdhani is different. No welcome drink was arranged. Overall the quality is graded very- very poor and unacceptable as the railways are regularly claiming for better food at cheaper prices.

My PNR no. 2264697165 (A-1, 43) and I am writing this complaint instantly in train after having the dinner from IRCTC.

Please comment for the negligence and strict action should be taken against the person involved if not as matter of policy such foods are arranged. With hope the quality will be improved in future.
