Non co-operative in fixing gold rate

Placed an order for gold bangle. Order ref no:141 Date:25-10 order value: 1, 24, 266

During the time I placed the order, I was informed that I will have to pay 10, 000 as an advance and place the order and later I can fix the gold price according to my convenience.

The ordered bangle was ready after 20-30 days. When I called to find about the deadline for fixing gold rate, I was informed that I can fix it anytime when the gold rate is less. I did call them again, the person informed me that they did not call me because the rates were high and they would call me when the rates go down and I can fix that day.

In fact when we placed the order, I have informed them that I stay in Bangalore so it would be difficult for me to come on the weekdays even if I fix the price. They said even if I fix it on the weekday, I can come on the weekend and purchase it.

Today 15-12, the gold rate is 2610 (market) and 2625 (tanishq rate). I have been trying to fix the rate from morning, nobody seemed to respond.

Each time a different person picks the call and I explain the whole story again, their response would be,

1. Will check with the concerned person and get back in 10 mins. no response after that

2. Store manager is on leave, sent him a message, will gte back in an hour. no response after that.

3. There is no such policy of freezing the gold rate.

4. This policy is only applicable from Jan.

5. You can never place an order by paying 10000, you have to pay 25% of the estimated amount.

6. Put me on hold telling that the are connecting to the floor manager.

7. given me a mobile number of the floor manager who never picks the call.

8. When asked to call the person who attended me when I placed the order, they say that those pepole are busy on other floors, cant go and call them because I am a receptionist.

From 2 pm until 6 pm, I would have made atlest 10-15 calls and each time different person, different response.

Finally I got hold of a person Selvaraj, who says there is no such option and it was a miscommunication and If I freeze now, I will have to pay the entire amount now itself and get the bangle.

1. The day I placed the order, I was at the showroom for an hour, I had aroung 4-5 people including the manager who explained me all these options. And now they say all 5 miscommunicated.

2. I have clearly informed them that I was in Bangalore and can't come the same day I freezed rate, since this was accepted I did place an order.

3. If they have informed me today at 2pm that If I freeze now, I have to bill it today, I would have asked my cousins to do that. With all the struggle I get the information at 6:30 where none of my cousins can reach because they have to travel for 2-3 hours to reach coimbatore, by then it would be beyond 8 and the showroom would close.

The main thing that I am frustrated about is that,

When all other tanishq showrooms don't have all these policies, why the coimbatore showroom came up with their own new policy like

1. flexibility of rate fixation

2. place order with advance of just 10000, (which is not even 25% of the order value)

3. giving wrong information to the custmers whenever they called up.

Why are they not letting me fix the gold rate? Is it because the rate is low today, they can drag and make me fix on the day when rate is more.

Is the ordered bangle with them or have they sold it already?

Finally today I have not fixed the gold price. All these false promises made me loose trust on Tanishq. I have second though if I should get a bangle from such a unreliable brand.

I would be much glad if my advance is refunded.
