I have received a call on 18 October at 16:53 from 011 409580049 mentioning me that they offer a free credit card which will give me UPTO 20% discount on all my transactions at any outlets across grocery to electricity bill payment and lots more, they also said that with this card they will offer me free domestic and International Holiday discount voucher and a free Reebok watch, They said that its completely free of cost and will only require me to authenticate on their IVR and no other documents are required only thing is that I have to show my PAN card to the courier person to collect the courier. On this I agreed and they asked me to send a SMS to generate a password for authentication on the IVR which I did and when they connected me to the IVR and I keyed in the password on the IVR they provided the transaction reference for the payment of Rs 5509/- . I was shocked to hear that I have been debited for 5509 on which I resisted and asked the person to reverse this as this was not been told to me earlier on which the person disagreed saying that you are well educated person and you should be knowing the IVR system and why did you keyed in the password and now it’s your responsibility you have agreed and so on, Later I told him that I’ll go to the consumer court and lodge a complaint on which he said that he will listen to the recording once more and get back to me, I am still waiting for his call...
