I had airtel DTH (SD) and I wanted to upgrade to HD DTH. I sent SMS on 12th July regarding upgrade and immediately I got a call from this number 022- 41304100 mentioning they're from Airtel Sales Team and told they received request for HD upgrade. They gave me details of package, and I was told to make a payment of Rs.2250/. for HD Upgrade. They insisted that I can make payment only through IVR using credit card and I agreed for the same.
I made a payment of Rs.2250/. on 12th July using Standard Chartered Bank with reference # 19410035844 through IVR.
Even after 2 days I didnt get new setop box (HD). When I called the Airtel customer care, they informed that they've received only Rs..
I told them that I made payment of Rs.2250/. I was informed that they received Recharge request through a dealer and Airtel received only Rs.. They have generated a complaint regarding this and the complaint # is 10054956 on 16th July.
I checked internet and saw many complaints regarding call received from 022-41304100 and wanted to know if this is genuine airtel sales team / dealer / fraud.
Also what happened to Rs.250 (Rs.2250 payment I made - Rs.2000 what Airtel received)?
Airtel is telling they can't provide installation until they receive Rs.250 more as payment for HD.
My Airtel customer ID is 3000692669.
