Subject: Khriff Yerra Kaluva floods- Loss of Paddy -Crop Insurance- claims of the farmers lost due to the negligence of Canara Bank, Nidadavolu- Request for justice.
Kindly note that a total number of 116 small farmers from Kamsalipalem, Ravimetla, Nidadavolu had paid premium for crop insurance paddy to Crop Insurance Company of India, Hyderabad through Canara Bank, Nidadavolu. The Regional Office, canara Bank, Vishakhapatnam has processed the applications. During Khariff 2008 the flood [Yerra Kaluva]effected the farmers and the Revenue Officials certified the same. a total of 69 got the assured sum. but the remaining 47 did not get. Hence the requisition.
The Canara Bank, Nidadavol omitted to inform the farmers nor posted the amount of premium into the respective SB Accounts-Nos.
