Fraud Transaction on my Credit Card

Hi,

This is in regard to the charge levied on my Citi bankCredit Card to the tune of Rs 9900/- on 21st Jan by Effort BPO limited.

While registering an ABN Amro Card for the Super Combo Offer the customer Service Agent had asked for an alternative credit card but assured me 20 times that no charges whatsoever would be levied without my consent. On this agreement I had given them Citi Bank's Indian card number.

But today when I checked my account statement online I was shocked to see a charge of Rs 9900/- and the benificiary being Effort BPO services, the name was unknown to me till now and I presume they are working on behalf of ABN AMRO Bank.

I have not used my credit card for any other transaction nor given my credit card number to any other party.

I hav einstructed Citi bank not to make any payments to Effort BPO Services/ABN Amro Bank in relation to this transaction.

Kindly let me know what more can be done in this regard since in no case i am going to pay the charge levied on me by fraudulent means
