I have worst experience about HDFC bank. It is the worst bank I have ever seen. I have different kinds of accounts with HSBC, ICICI, SBI, CITI, IOB etc. These banks are descent & HSBC is best of them all. HDFC is a "chor" & have recruited best arrogant people from Society to deal with their customers. None of their process/policies are customer friendly except the loan disbursement process. Once the loan is disbursed they will treat you worst like anything.
My Experience:
I had a 2 wheeler loan with them & I wanted to close that loan prematurely. They asked me to pay three thousand rupees more than what was pending from the principle amount (yes I know that we have to pay 3% of the total outstanding). They came up with check bounce charges of the last financial year which is already closed 9 months back. I had already paid those charges but their accounts books were not updated. They were convinced only after I produced the payment slip.
Also the closure procedure is carried out only at a remote branch but at the same time loan disbursement can be done from any of the available HDFC branch. This is pure harassment. I don’t how to teach them lesson but I suggest to you all not have any relationship with HDFC bank.
