Dear All
I had applied for a home loan from HDFC LTD this year in the month of jan while processing for the loan i was asked to give a cheque of 13229/- which included a fee of 5000/- and i was assured that the rest of the amount will be adjusted towards the stamp duty to the tune of 0.2% of the loan, if i go a head with a loan.
On 5th feb i had recived a sanction letter from HDFC ltd stating the loan sanctioned amount of 3700000/- under the file no.238854311/GPJ, as i was getting a better intrest rate i decided to have home loan from the other bank and hence i withdraw my loan praposal from HDFC Ltd and i was assured that i will be getting back 0.2% of 3700000 back which was taken towards the stamp duty i.e. 7400/- and i do had a verbal confiramtion from Mr Shekhar Vagh head Of sales team Pune
To my surprise i recived a cheque of 2229/- which was almost 5000/- less from what actually i shuld have received, I did spent lot of time & energy in speaking to the people at HDFC no one gave me satisfactory answer some says that fees was 10000/- some says its 1% of loan amount then i requested them to submit me the documents which states the cost structure no one has reverted me back till date on the same
Its almost 2months now i am being asking for my money back and no one at HDFC is even botherd to reply me back.
Kindly help me in having an answer for the same atleast, and tell people at HDFC that Consumer has a right to know
