Refusal to acept outstation cheque

I deposited a cheque of Bank of Baroda, Dahod branch which is A CBS NET WORK branch. The cheque contained all details of all India code etc. But the person at the counter at HDFC SLIC, 139-140 Sector 9C Madyhya Marg refused to accept the cheque even when I requested that it will be accepted and I am also a bank employee (NABARD). I am posted at Dahod and my salary account is in this branch. Perhaps the person siting a t counter is not aware of all the functioning and only insisted that it is not payable. I was cuased a lot of inconvenience as I have to do a lot of work in holoidays whenever I come to chandigarh
