I had received a call on Aug 18 from this company called Heritage Group on behalf of HDFC credit cards which placed some interesting offers like 25% discount on any purchase from any retail outlet, they were also offering free holiday vouchers which could be used at selected hotels all over India. They mentioned that this Heritage card is completely free of cost and has no fee claims further. Despite of my confirming a hundred times they repeated that the card carry no charges and soon I will be receiving a welcome kit which will consist of he card and the gift vouchers. Then they routed the transaction for further verification and through the verifier it was routed to IVR.
As soon as I had mentioned the credit card details I received an SMS on my mobile that my credit card a/c has been debited with Rs 4964. This is completely a fraud transaction and misselling. till this date I've not received any gift hamper nor do I require such a fraudulent product. Kindly refund the amount in my credit card a/c and also provide some customer care no. where I can lodge my complaint telephonically.
This is sheer cheating and harrassment to the consumer and SBI being the largest PSU and the most trusted organisation should not incline their staff to such fraudulent transactions. Being a bank they should not come up with such frauds and should take strict action against the executives who are participating in them.
