Complainant: Mr. Kamalakar Babajirao Gaokar aged 62 years residing at 15, Shubhamangal Dham, Nariman Road, Vileparle (East), Mumbai- 400057 having SB a/c No 011-510856-006
The Fixed Deposits kept with Bank under the SMART MONEY a/c no 003-413812-051 & 003-413812-052 of Rs 50, 000/ Each were matured on 30/07 and as per standing instructions were to be renewed automatically and linked to my SB a/c No 011-510856-006 where in customer gets overdraft facility with additional charges of interest. In my case the deposits after maturity were not not kept in FD but amount lying in SB a/c after followup (3 months) the Relationship Manager ()isss Neha) openned the FD but FDs were not linked to my SB a/c where in I lost FD interest.
On 14th March'2011 I wanted to bring this to the notice of the Branch Manager but I was directed to the another RM (Deepthi Pilley) who then committed blunder of fraudently puting the 95.000/- in the Retirement Benefit Insurance Plan against my instructions inspite of telling her my purpose of FD and getting the benefit of overdraft facility where in my cheques will not get dishonoured. Next day I intimared to cancell the Insurance Policy and requested to get the money back and transfered in FD. This she told me would take 2-3 days. But till 31st March'2011 I did not get money.
This has all resulted in cheques issued towards payment of ICICI Bank Credit Card were returned and dishonoured by the Bank and my payments to the MTNL and Reliance Infra were remaine unpaid, My residence telephone was disconnected as well as electricity connection was disconnected I have suffered great inconvenienced as year ending Income Tax working was suffered due net connection with Telephone was disconnected. In addition to Financial losses I have been put to great inconvenience. I am a retired person depending on income by way of Interest on my Investment made.
