I am having Savings account with ICICI bank. I forgot my password and to reset it I had the worst experience with ICICI bank as following.

=> 15/10 - Requested to register my mobile (9960370373) for mobile banking because I wanted to reset my internet banking password (login transaction)... customer care promised me 4 working days.

=> 20/10 - Called to confirm and found that it was not done yet. Asked me wait for 24 hours.

=> 21/10 - Called to confirm and found that it was also not done on that day... Asked me to wait for 1 hour.

=> 22/10 - After 3 hours, it was done. When I tried to change password online, system showed me that I can't do that.

=> 21/10 - Called customer care, person told me that I can not change password on same day when mobile is registered.

=> 21/10 - Person told me that he will send physical copy of both password at my address and it will reach in 3 working days as it would be on priority.

=> 26/10 - I didn't receive any post and called again customer care service, and he asked me to wait for 2 working days... You also asked me to wait for 2 days.

=> Meanwhile, one of your executive called on my mobile number and told that account is debit freezed for security reason.

=> 28/10 - Post received. I was informed that Photo ID should be presented while collecting that post. But courier person didn't ask anything for photo ID. My aunt had collected and told that person that I am her nephew. He wrote in his note that "Devendra" has collected post.

=> 28/10 - Logged in online banking. Changed my login password successfully. I tried 3 times to change my transaction password but failed because account as debit freezed. So transaction password disabled. Called customer care but person asked me to contact branch.

=> 29/10 - Called operational department (91-261-4014804) to check status..he gave me 2 phone number of my branch but neither worked. both were invalid. So again I called him and he asked me to call customer care.

=> 29/10 - Called customer care and person has asked me to wait for 24 hours.

=> Got mail that new password will be delivered by courier.

So finally I reset my password after 21 days of struggle. Now when I asked for compansation just because of calls which I made because ICICI bank failed in its commitment, executive said that ICICI bank has nothing to do that.

Person called Ashok Reddy wrote that "However, the passwords has reached your communication address on October 28" on 2nd November. When I replied that I was expecting password on 26th as per commitment given by ICICI then he wrote "However, the passwords has reached your communication address on October 26".

In short, informing other people that if you want to go through this kind of situation then only open an account with ICICI bank.
