ID Proof for Cash withdrawl below Rs. 50, 000

Sir, I have withdrawn third party cheques below 50, 000 rupees from many banks and nobody asked me any ID Proof but ICICI bank in M.G. Road Ernakulam asked me for an ID proof of withdrawl below 50, 000 rupees.

Sir, imgaine I'm in urgent and I didn't take any ID proof with me then what would have been circumstances.

Do all banks follow the same rule of RBI or they keep their own rules.

I think private sector banks are acting too much.

Govt Banks and more customer friendly i think
