IT Returns Refund not received

Hi,

I submitted my IT returns last year and I was supposed to get a refund of about Rs. 8, 000. It has been one year now, and when I try checking online the status of my refund, I get the following message.

"Your assessing officer has not sent this refund to Refund Banker.

If this refund has been sent by your Assessing Officer within the last week, you may wait for a week and again check status."

I have lost my acknowledgement slip, and I am not sure what is to be done now.
