IT REFUND NOT RECEIVED

My husband died in an accident and I was awarded MACT CLAIM from UNITED INDIA INSURANCE COMPANY LIMITED, GODHRA-389001.

This company has deducted Rs.35057/- as TDS from the claim amount and issued me a

TDS CERTIFICATE for the same.

Then to get back the TDS deducted I have filed a IT RETURN

But instead of returning me Rs.35057 Interest, mistakenly I got refund of Rs.3620/-

vide cheque no.77015 fsyrf 27.04.2005 from Income Tax

But because I got the cheque too late, the same was rejected by the bank.

So I have given back the cheque to I.T.Office in Dahod to and written a letter to

recheck my IT RETURN and refund me Rs.35057 Interest instead of 3620/-

on dated 14.09.2009.

But till date i.e. after a span of more than 15 months no reply is there and

till date I am awaiting for my refund...

As I am villager and widow, I do not know the proper way and where to approach for this

problem...

Please do help me to get my refund back at the earliest...
