Abnormal delay in transfer of amount

Dear Sirs,

I have sent a cheque No.783622 dated 22-02 for Rs.20000/- from my SB Account No:1181932472 with Central Bank of India, Juhu Vile Parle Branch, Mumbai, Maharashtra-400056 in favour of ISKCON Berhampur.

His Grace Pancharatna Das, President of ISKCON Berhampur has deposited this cheque in the ISKCON Berhampur accounts immediately on receipt at his end.

Even though more than one month has elapsed, the amount has not been credited to ISKCON Berhampur account. The Branch Manager is telling some excuse or the other for this abnormal delay.

I want to know the reasons for this abnormal delay in the transfer of this amout from my SB account. Central Bank of India is not doing this on any free service but are collecting Bank Charges from the customer. For such delays, the bank charges should be waived and interest should be paid for the period of delay for which the customer is not responsible.

Kindly make necessary enquiries with the Branch Manager, Berhampur for this abnormal delay and let me know a line in reply as early as possible.
