I applied for a housing loan with ‘LIC Housing Finance Ltd’ (File nos 43391) on 4-Feb-11.
The point of contact for me was Mr. Naseen over there (agent working out of ‘Lajpat Nagar’ Branch... his contact nos 9999311711).
As my first installment for the property which I purchased (Project name is ‘Lotus Zing’ which is being worked upon by 3C company) was due in the month of February (around 28-feb-11) hence I quickly got in touch with Mr Naseen (who in turn guided me to Ms. Usha Gola, I guess she is working with him in the same office …contact nos 9999969257). I started coordinating with her. She communicated that once the documentation is complete the loan gets approved (and ready for disbursal) within 7-10 working days (But since I am living in Mumbai and the property is in Noida hence in my case it may take upto 10-14 days). Being a new person (on how the loan industry works) I believed her and started completing the formalities.
I completed all my documentation on 4-Feb and submitted it (couriered) to the Delhi Branch (i.e. K-59, 1st floor, lajpat nagar, part-2). My documents were received on 07-Feb-11 (I confirmed the same with Ms Usha).
After that i started following up (which lasted for almost 2 months) with the agents and even the Branch Manager there i.e. Mr. Sudheer Gupta (email id [email protected], Ph # 9868151782). These guys (including Mr. Naseeen, Ms. Usha and the branch Manager himself i.e. Mr. Sudheer) started avoiding my calls. I called them a number of times but nobody was willing to take my call.
The worst part is that Mr. Sudheer (the so called ‘branch manager’ of Lajpat Nagar branch) is picking the call and then disconnecting within a second (without talking/speaking). This has happened 4-5 times on 8-Apr-11. (If you wish then I can definitely send over my call records).
Then, I escalated this up the ladder (from ‘Agents’ to ‘Area manager’ to ‘Customer relationship manager’ to ‘Regional Head’) to make things work for me but negative. Finally I reached the National Head (Mr Vijay, CEO LIC HFL).
Staff (including the top management like RM and CRM) has showcased pathetic business ethics. I communicated several times with these people but most off the times failed to even receive an acknowledgment. Finally my disbursement happened on 6-May-11 (after approx 3 months).
The property/loan which I have applied was under the construction linked plan. I missed my first 2 installment of ~1.8 lacs each because of the delay caused by LIC HFL staff. I was forced to shell out a hefty interest to the builder due to delay in the payment (at 18%).
So, now i want LIC HFL to cover up for my interest (which I paid to the builder).
