Non-payment of bonus on maturity

Sir,

My LIC policy No.261619956 matured on 15 Jul 10. I submitted the request for the payment of maturity amount on 24 Jul 10. I received a cheque of Rs.50000/- without the bonus on 09 Aug 10 through mail. I want to know the reason for not paying bonus also the cause of delay. Applicable interest may be paid for the delay due to lapse on the part of LIC.
