On 27-Aug I received a call from number 911166034300, they told me they are from PLAT-5 company and they are offering a free discount card on a promotional basis. For this I do not have to pay a single paise. They told me for verification I have to get one time IVR password for that I need to send a SMS as IOTP and in turn I received a SMS having the password. They again called me after few moments and told me that they are going to connect to the ICICI IVR systems and I need to punch in the password and my credit card number and CVS, all through this time they told me I do not have to pay a single paise.
I believed them the moment from my mobile I punched in the IVR password, credit card and cvs number, then to my shock I received a SMS that my credit card has been charged 4964.
This is cheating as this was without my knowledge and approval.
I will do everything in my capacity against this corrupt practice.
