I got a call from Plat5 Consultancy from Delhi (911409560031). As I was having an SBI credit card, I got a call from Plat5 consultancy. They also had my address details with them. The details of the fraud are as below.
1.They contacted me stating that as a privileged SBI credit card customer they will issue me another shopping card which will give me 25% discount on all purchases as well as free gifts with holiday packages. The phone call is recorded and everything is true.
2. They said that nothing will be charged and the card will be issued in 10-15 days. For this reason I agreed.
3. Now for verification purpose, they asked only for the credit card expiry date which I provided.
4. Further, they told me for online verification purpose, I need to get the OTP (one time password) from the bank which I did.
5. Then they transferred my call to IVR and I entered the 16 digit card number, expiry date, CVV number and OTP. During this verification, that person was online.
6. The verification was successful and they provided a booking # 392700. But then immediately I received an sms on my mobile "Thank you for using your SBI card ending withXXXX for 5499.00 in New Delhi at IVR Plat5 Consultancy P on 3 Jan 1233333 transaction of Rs.5, 499.00 made on SBI Credit Card X
7.It was then I realized that this is fraud.
8. Please have a look into this matter.
