We joined a company, namely Authentic Technology (India) Pvt Ltd. It’s a Malaysian MNC with its Indian branch situated at Bhubaneswar. The terms and conditions were that, we had to sign a bond of 2 years with Rs 1.5 lacs as security deposit refundable after the completion of my bond period. Initially there is a probationary period of 6 months, when training will be held. Joined the Bhubaneswar office on the 22nd of December.
Now, the reason why we are writing this letter to you is because we are in dire straits. The company we joined, turned out to be a fraud. The company’s been in India for 2 years. It has no Malaysian connections, rather some HRs claims that the company has some sort of tie-up with a Malaysian co. According to the bond, we were to get Rs 7500/- for the training period (inclusive of Rs 500/- mobile connection) and then Rs 2.4 lacs per annum along with project incentive. But after we joined the company, the Rs 500/- mobile connection scheme got scrapped. So our salary stands Rs 7000. We then talked to our seniors and the conversation turned into a real disappointment. Our immediate seniors haven’t received their salaries for the past 4 months. They have been running their expenses by their own pocket money or from their families. So, this was a real shame for a working class man to receive money from their family to run their expenses. Moreover, we came to know that the company doesn’t have any sort of projects. So where from will they be able to pay our salaries? Our seniors are just sitting ideal with no work to do and no salaries. We freshers are being trained with below par trainers. The company doesn’t have its own building and is running in a rented floor of a business complex. Now they have started a new business, that of training final year Engg. Students for their final year project internship and in lieu of Rs 10, 000/- as training fees. Now, the company has shut down its office all of a sudden. We have nowhere to go, all our security money is gone. the MD of our company Mr Debiprasad Jana has cheated us and stolen all our money. We, the employees had also filed an FIR at Mancheswar Police station on the 23rd of March but to no avail. The FIR number is 76. The name of the Inspector Incharge is Bisnu Mishra.
