Iends, if you are looking forward to work with and are going through the process of interview with this company i.e. “R.K. Dewan & Co.” then this review is just right for you. This post might seem long but it would give you a clear picture of unethical and unprofessional behavior of this company. I, myself being a misfortunate victim of this unfair company, am putting my experience and it goes as follows I was well employed with one of medium sized organization and things were jus fine… One fine day I got an Interview call from HRD- Administrator of R.K. Dewan & Co. As the Company is having a big name in the Trademarks & Patents fields, I went to their Pune office for the Interview. The usual interview procedures were carried out with a written test and then followed by face2face interview. As I was told that they would call me back if I am selected, they did called me back and I was told that I was selected for post of Patent Assosiate and they have sent me an offer letter on my email Id. I did receive the offer letter with joining date mentioned in the mail. As per the discussion on phone, if I have accepted the offer I had to reply their mail with my acceptance to the offer and I did so. I wrote them an acceptance mail for the job offer they had given me. After taking confirmation for multiple times on phone from the R.K. Dewan & Company, I had put up my resignation letter in the organization with whom I was employed. As far as this… the story seems completely fine. However jus after 2 days I had put my resignation R.K. Dewan & Co. withdrew their job offer without giving me any explanation. The mail that I received goes as follows Dear XXXX,
This is further to our offer sent to you on XXXXXXX.
We regret to inform you that due to some urgent unavoidable situations, the position offered to you has been put on hold indefinitely. Hence we have to withdraw our offer made to you earlier.
We apologize for the inconvenience caused to you and we will contact you as and when another similar position is available in our organization.

Rekha Bhagwat HRD - Administrator Direct : 91 20-66871232 After receiving this email I was completely stunned and I did call their office, however as they had sent me this mail in evening I couldn’t reach them as it was passed office timing when I saw the mail. Shocked and horrified with the mail I found it hard to believe what I had read then…. couldn’t sleep whole nite thinking there has to be some mistake and the second thought that came to my mind shook me in and out, that thought was I WAS WITHOUT A JOB… there was no job in my hand nor the previous one and neither the job R.K. Dewan & Co. had offered. Next morning I called Pune office of R. K Dewan & Co. to know what had happened…I didn’t get any answer from HRD – Administrator who had mailed me she jus said I need to talk to Dr. Niti Dewan for this. On calling several times I couldn’t reach Dr. Niti Dewan as she was busy whole day and was not even having time of 2 mins to talk to the person whom she had made suffer professionally (by damaging my career in a huge way) and personally (by disturbing my peaceful life). Every time I called her I got same repetitive answer that she will call me back. She never called me back. Finally I wrote a mail to Dr. Niti Dewan asking her to explain the “urgent unavoidable situations” she had mentioned in her mail however as of today i.e. 27th July I have not got any reply from her. Whatever harm this company had done to me will heal sooner or later but I wrote this review jus to make innocent people like me in this profession aware of untruthful, unprofessional, unethical and unfair behavior of the one of the biggest law firm in India. They have no answer to what changed their mind to withdraw the offer letter even after knowing that the person has resigned from the earlier employer. If these are the ethics of the Company and if this is their professionalism I would rather suggest their clients to be aware of them… they can ditch you any day any time… so friends I would end this long post by saying BEAWARE OF R.K. DEWAN & Co.
