I took this auto on my usual route from Hanumantha Nagar to Basavanagudi (Naga Sandra Circle), I have been taking this route on daily basis from last 6 months via Autos. I work for an IT company so the working hrs are odd. I take auto from H. Nagar to Basavanagudi at 5:30 AM every day, the exact distance between the two places in 2.3 Kms, which generally means Rs. 20 - 21 as per the meter.
I took this auto today (KA02-B-1297) and he asked we to pay 1.5 times, which I readily agreed to, halfway into the journey i realized that his meter was at fault and was changing rapidly, I reminded him of this 3 times which he ignored, upon reaching home the meter reading was Rs. 34 and he asked for Rs.50, when I refused he started swearing in Hindi at first then changed to Kannada, when I started to move back to call my security guard, the auto driver pushed me and started to yell and shout even more, I kept my cool and started to take down his info on my cell phone when he again tried to grab my phone when I retaliated he took some metal object out of his tool box and continued to yell and shout, on my security guards arrival the auto driver finally stopped yelling but refused to leave and in the end I paid him 50 just to make sure he left.
I want to file an official police complaint against this man!!!
