I want people to be aware how irresponsible Concorde Motors Ltd -Malad can be & their lack of apathy in dealing with this entire issue.
I recently purchased a car (Tata Nano CX) from Concorde Motors Ltd (Malad). Initially, I wanted finance but had second thoughts & paid the entire amount of the car (on road price).
All bills issued to be mentioned my car was hypothecated to Tata Motors Finance Ltd.
I had brought it to their sales person’s (Yogesh Chouhan) notice, that since I have made the ful payment towards the purchase of the car, there should be no indication of hypothecation. However, he assured me this was a system mistake & had the bill corrected manually.
Few days later, I approached Yogesh again, this time I asked for the sale certificate, to check year of manufacture before the vehicle could be registered with the RTO. Again, there was indication of hypothecation to Tata Motors Finance Ltd. He once again assured me that this is a system mistake & would not reflect in my RTO book.
On the day of my car delivery, I was given invoices & payment receipts, all indicating hypothecation to Tata Motors Finance Ltd. This time around I put my foot down & refused to take possession of the car. He got the invoices corrected & assured me that the RC book would not mention hypothecation.
After around a month I did receive via post my RC card. There is a clear mention that my car is hypothecated to Tata Motors Finance Ltd. This without me taking any kind of loan from them.
After numerous calls, escalations & visit to Concorde Motors (Malad) the branch manager has assured me that they would get this error fixed. Till now this is under process & I have to make numerous calls to their showroom to follow up with no sight of when this whole matter would be resolved. It’s almost nearing a month now & I have been extremely stressed out with this entire ordeal.
I have escalated this issues to their customer relationship manager Jyoti Shah. Who has only given false assurances. She even went to the extent of stating that they would send a person to my house & ensure all documentation is corrected & the whole issue resolved in a week's time. This was not done.
What Concorde Motors Ltdhas done is completely illegal. In Form 20 which is required to register a new vehicle, if a car is hypothecated to a financer, they need to have the form signed and stamped by the financing company. How this was done without taking a loan beats me.
There has been no apology by any one of them for the uncalled stress I am going through for an illegal act of theirs.
