I was travelling from New Delhi to Chicago by Etihad airways on March 6, booking reference 33FJQD (EY 211 and EY 151).
On reaching Chicago, I found that my check-in bag (a trolley bag) was broken from the front side near the handle.
I lodged the complaint after reaching my destination on the same day 6th of March.
I was asked to attach pictures of the damaged bag only to be informed later over email that "the damage was not significant and hence no compensation could be given.
Shocking response it was from airline boasting that it was world's best airline to a business class passenger who travelled all the way from Delhi to Chicago and back on the same airlines.
Why should my baggage be subjected even to a minor damage?
I thought perpaps your forum could help me get compensation.
