I wish to bring to the world the mental agony faced by me on purchasing a TATA INDICA DLE Car from GEM Motors, Mettupalayam Road, Thudiyalur, Coimbatore. I purchased the Car on Jan 13. The vehicle number is TN 37 BM 5528. I did two servicing during Feb and March. During the third servicing by 6th April the trouble started. The next day after the 3rd servicing I took the Car to a drive from Coimbatore to Trichy, quite surprisingly the car had a break down just after 6 KMS. I had a miserable time as I had an important commitment. I rang up to the Service Manager and took the car to GEM Motors, had a repair. I was told by Mr. Vimal, the service Manager that during water service water had entered into the electronic circuit (ECO). After that they handed over the vehicle on 7th April evening, this incurred me a loss of Rs.15, 000/. Then I took the vehicle for a drive that did not last for 15 KMS, the vehicle suddenly developed huge noise, A/C did not function and break down occurred. Then the Car did not start at all. I had to take the vehicle back to GEM Motors for repair. Three persons Mr. Vimal, Mr. Jeyaram and Mr. Karthikeyan tried to shoot the trouble but could not locate the exact problem. I really doubt how could a brand new car develop such a lot of complications that none of the attendants couldn’t find. I am totally fed up with the carelessness of the people of GEM Motors. I incurred a loss to the tune of Rs.35, 000/ in my business due to aberrant behaviour and gruesome incident. Till now (19th April) I have not received my vehicle.
The people at GEM Motors, Mettupalayam Road, Thudiyalur, Coimbatore are clever in somehow selling the car but when it comes to after sales service I suspect they steal some important components and sell outside informally.
This is to inform others not to fall a prey to GEM Motors, Mettupalayam Road, Thudiyalur, Coimbatore who don’t care after sales. Many of the service personnel are technically unfit of trouble shooting and equally zero in their commitments.
If I am not getting a proper justice I am planning to take up the issue to the consumer forum and take a legal action.
