Dear Sir/ Madam,

This mail is to complain the unprofessional behavior shown by Hyundai authorized dealer HIMGIRI MOTORS PVT LTD (Wazirpur). My complete family has been a MARUTI loyalist for years. This is for the first time we had thought of buying a Hyundai product considering that your company has the policy of 'CUSTOMER FIRST'. But the experience we had has been mentally exhausting and has ripped us of our peace of mind.

We had approached HIMGIRI as they happen to be the nearest dealer. We had made it clear to the executive there that we will be getting the car (brand name I10) financed in my father-in-law's name and were advised that in order to avail corporate discount we need to submit the ID proof and pay slip of any Govt employee. My brother-in-law is in Delhi Police but as we were taking loan in my father-in-law's name so I had questioned HIMGIRI's executive if it would be possible to have documents of my brother-in-law whereas loan will be in another name. They asked us to deposit Rs 6000/- in order to check the feasibility of this arrangement and came back to me assuring that this arrangement can be worked out. They returned us this amount after 2 days. There was a road mishap in the meantime and when we took claim from Insurance Co through your authorized Service Center, we came to know later that the car had been registered in my brother-in-law's name.

We had given a payment of Rs 16, 454/- which was an excess amount on top of the on road price of the car. It was decided with an executive (Yashoda) in HIMGIRI that this complete amount will be refunded. We chased them over phone for this amount many times but they would say an excuse on every call and never assured when the amount will be refunded so after waiting for approx a week we went to meet them in their Wazirpur office. The problem aggravated here because they bluntly refused to refund the money stating 'car is in different name' as the reason. Kindly note that when we had raised this as a doubt (refer to para 2) they had assured us that there wont be a problem. After discussing and debating the showroom manager Mr. Suri admitted that they have made a mistake and proposed that they will give Rs 3000/- as corporate discount and not Rs 6000/- which one is eligible for in ordinary course of business. My question is if I am not entitled for a discount as they say now why was this proposal of giving Rs3000/- as a discount made to me then. The answer is it was an eye wash to cover the mess and trauma that they had put me and my family through.

HIMGIRI has now started harassing us. They say we will have to take a new insurance policy and bear charges for it as well. Why should we take out a new policy when we had shared our apprehensions in the beginning and they had assured that they will arrange all the paper work. We have still not received the car papers which show correct name and address.

But I am looking to escalate their incompetent and unethical behavior and am hoping that management will pay attention to this complaint and will take an action is against dealer and offer me compensation. If I may make it clear that I will not settle for anything but a satisfactory resolution and will take this matter to any level for justice.

I rang Hyundai customer service few days back and was promised a call back and received the above complaint id but I have not heard anything after that. If I not receive any satisfactory reply in 2 days I will not hesitate to write to Mr. HW Park [Managing Director & CEO (India)] or [Mr. Mong-Koo Chung, Chairman & CEO ] and to consumer forum of India.

The copy of the above has already been forwarded to "'[email protected]'" on 13/04/10 02:20 PM. but have not got any response. If I'll not hear in 2 days of receipent of this letter, I will be moving to consumer court of law for the further action with all the documented proofs and facts.
