I am resident of faridabad and went on for buying a new car and chose the hyundai i20 asta petrol, i went on for the booking of the same at hyundai showroom (Hyundai Motor Plaza) located on the mathura road, Delhi next to NISSAN showroom. The reason i chose the i20 asta was because of the safety features it had (main focus on the ABS feature).

While booking the car we looked on to the CRDi version of i20, and since our daily run and highway touring was on higher side than in city, I immediatly got impressed by its fuel efficiency. I was very keen about having the ABS feature airbags (esp driver), and i went on asking the sales person about the same. On asking, I was told that all the variants of the CRDI i20 had ABS in it, so i opted for the SPORTZ model after increasing my budget from by one Lac.

Now, after researching about the i20 CRDi Sportz i came to know that it doesnt have the ABS feature, i immediatly called up the sales person and inquired about the same, the person told he will ask some technical person about the same, and i was told that the sportz model does not have the ABS feature but had all four Disc Brackes which again was false. And if i wanted to have ABS i had to go for ASTA variant and then was told that it had only 2 disc brakes. I felt cheated as i was misled by the dealer, since, my main purpose of buying the i20 wasn't being solved and majorly after increasing my budget from i20 petrol to CRDi.

Moreover Few days back all the CRDI i20 variants were coming with ABS-EBD; (which was of course a vital feature; one can’t even imagine such a power full engine without this feature) and that’s what co's marketing personnel were supposedly explaining to prospective buyers; and suddenly Hyundai decides to remove this vital feature (ABS-EBD) from its CRDI variants, without even preparing its sales people about new variants. People were being misinformed and were made to take false decisions.

That’s what had happened with us, while booking our CRDI i20 SPORTZ at Hyundai Motor Plaza, Mathura Road, DELHI, in the name of BABLI KHUNGER - Booking ID – PR2010057924 dated 05.05.10.

Half fed sales team, removing vital features & cutting down on costs seems to be the selling strategy of Hyundai for their Hot Selling Products.

While upgrading from ASTA Petrol to CRDI Sportz and increasing our budget by almost one Lac, ABS was the most crucial feature of our decision for which the sales personnel assured, exists. And now after exploration on NET, and when the car was about to deliver, we are being told that CRDI i20 SPORTZ doesn’t have this ABS feature.

I want my CRDI i20 with this feature as per the requirement of the engine and as per Hyundai Co'. outlet claim.

This is just fooling the customers and just the wrong promotion of the product. Moreover if your product today is selling like hot cakes it doesnt mean that the company takes undue advantage. I would like you to please look into this matter.

A prompt reply would be highly appreciated.

Innumerous calls and many e-mails to company customer care have not bothered any body to resolve the matter and take some action. My complaint ID with company' is 1-33710346
