My mother had to urgently travel from Bangalore to Kolkata for some urgent work on 31st May. Since it was a last minute plan we decided to book the ticket on tatkal.
On 29th May when I logged to IRCTC at 8 am to book the ticket, the system hanged. I tried couple of times but didn't allowed me to go beyond login page. Similar issue happened with my brother when he tried to book the ticket on 28th May.
on 26th May, Aajtak flashed the news of how the railway officials intentionally block the online system to make big bucks for themselve and let the commuter suffer.
It is shame that a country does not have the capability to provide basic amenities to its citizen.
