Sub: Harassment of Passengers By Railway Staff

Honble Madam,

I the above named had a confirmed Ticket on 10-12 by Trn. No.6381 from Mumbai to Tiruvalla. (Marked -1). However, the train was late by 9-10 hours, hence I was not traveled in the said train. Because of my urgency, I have to leave according to my schedule. I asked Daund Staton Master, please permit me to travel by another train with this ticket.

However, it was not materialized and I had purchased one local ticket from Daund-Wadi (Marked 2) and traveled in Mumbai-Bhupaneshwar Express and get down at Wadi.

Since morning 4 am to 7 am, I was wait for another train and catches Trn. No.2163 to Chennai from Wadi on buying an another local ticket (Marked 3). However, in route, The Squard Inspoectors (Mr. B.Basappa (Badge No.0024) & Mr. Prahalad (Badge No.0028), checked my ticket and found I was traveling nearby Entrance passage of Sleeper Class on Local ticket. I informed them my situation as above and also I was ready to move to some other local place where I can able to put my legs. (As there was full & tightened with passengers in Un reserved compartments). Even I convinced them the situation, moreover they have charged difference of Sleeper Class & fined Rs.250/- also. Even I noticed they have not asked the tickets to local passengers who may having tickets or without ticket and traveling in sleeper class. I get down at Renigunda and got bus to Tiruppathi, then Tiruppathi to Katpadi by Bus and traveled by 3 hours.

From Katpadi to Tiruvalla again I had a local ticket (Marked 4) and catches Trn. No.2623 and I requested the TTE on duty and he has mercy on my situation and charged sleeper class difference and allowed me to travel in sleeper class. I Feel very happy as there is some staff left in Railway to understand the problems and thanks to God.

Finally, I reached my destination at Tiruvalla after long struggle in Iron Bogies and harassment by the Sqd. Inspetors of Raichur. All those inconveniences caused to me because of Railway mismanagements as there is no provisions to passengers to travel on such situations. The Passengers harassing and harassing by one another one of railway staff instead of helping.

I have lost my time, money, sleeping etc.and faced lot of mental strains during this travel. I have also not refunded the confirmed ticket on which I have not traveled. I hope you will see the things favorably and do the necessary action in this regard.
