The new Wagon R has a number of inbuilt problems like drastically low pick up. This is more evident when the car is fully loaded and with the AC switched on. The car doesnt have enough power to pull in the 1st & 2nd gear also. With the bigger body, the power should have been given accordingly.
Secondly, the claim of Maruti of higher mileage of 19kmpl is totally false as we have not been able to get a mileage of more than 11 or 12 kmpl in city driving conditions.
To top it all, my complain with Maruti Suzuki went unheard of for 2 straight months, as i kept receiving messages like "we are looking into the issue and we will get back to you at the earliest". Finally after i started calling all their offices, one Mr. Amit Chadda, of Ranchi Regional Office had the audacity to tell me this :
"Since you have bought this car after taking a demo ride in a test vehicle, you should have noticed these defects earlier. The way you have the product today is how this vehicle will perform and thats how it was built. If you dont like its performance, then thats your problem. We cannot do anything about it. Your case is closed with us today."
Now, i am going to publish a notice in one of the leading newspapers against the dealership & Maruti Service people and also go to court if necessary. We have been grossly cheated on this product.
