I had sequence/bunch (more than 10 times) of bad experience with the same IOC bunk outlet for the past 5-6 years.
They used to fuel-up the Car/Vehicles without resetting pump to "ZERO" if they found the vehicle is from TamilNadu. Because they know that all the tamilnadu registered vehicles fill-up their tank when they passes by Pondy.
In my experience they filled-up 39 litres for my Hyundai Satro in one time. They used to divert the driver or whoever watching the fuelling gun by talking or asking some questions. If you ask them why don't you ensure the ZERO their default answer is "You are very near to pump so I thought you are noticing and we won't fuel the vehicle without resetting the pump".
I do not know how to catch/stop them cheating the people especially tamil nadu vehicles.
My recent experience is, when I enter into the bunk there was no customers and I stopped the vehicle near the pump and I noticed that reading of the pump is 0.4 ltr only. The service man planned to cheat more than that so he went to fuel-up the next vehicle which came after I entered into bunk and filled the fuel for 2.17 ltrs for a, even the service person did not ask me how much I am going to fuel. I just opened the fuel tank lid and talking to my brother about how much we need fuel to reach chennai. My brother asked me to fuel for Rupees 500 only. When we where talking the service man put the fuel gun into my car tank and started without asking me the amount of fuel, when I look at the pump reading it is not running but it says 2.17 ltrs and he says I resettled pump and started fueling my car. I do not know how to resolve this issue. One thing I can do, I can avoid that petrol bunk (That is only 24 hours Indian Oil Corporation petrol bunk when we enter pondichery from Dindivanam towards Kadalure/Chidambaram).
