The Mariani -Guwahati intercity passenger via Jorhat town is like a life line to people of golaghat and jorhat districts of Assam. There are large number of daily commuter that board this train[down] every morning to reach their offices in dimapur, diphu & lumding etc. But, it has been observed over a period of time that the train after reaching Dimapur rarely leaves the station after the allotted stoppage time. Many a times it due unloading of goods from racks attached to this passenger train where passenger pay mail fare. How justified is such attachment of goods rack in trains where passenger are made to pay mail fare. Its further observed several times the train is kept standing for reason which has nothing to do with train traffic on the routes{ the reasons may be better explained by Dimapur railway authority}.The end result is that commutators end up reaching their offices late in Diphu, Dimapur.
Hope this unnecessary harassment caused to the passenger of the train by Dimapur railway will stop
