I had booked a seat for 10th June in the Doha bound Air India Express Flight IX457 from Kochi. The booking was made online on 1st June against a payment of Rs7, 712/- from my debit card. Due to unforeseen reasons I wanted to cancel the booking, and accordingly on 7th June I retrieved the booking in the website for cancellation. I clicked on the link "cancel PNR', and I was promptly directed to another window which displayed the fare details. There were two links beneath the details, "back" and "continue". I clicked "continue", but I was then taken to a page with a blank box, with a link "new search" beneath it. I then called up the Kochi Air India Office to confirm the cancellation, but was told that I have to report in person at the Kochi Office for the cancellation. But when I reported at the Kochi Air India Office, they told me that since it is a web booking, they can't do anything. I tried several times to cancel the PNR online, but I arrived at the same place in the site where I reached earlier, and the cancellation remained live. For the sheer fault of the airline, I lost Rs7, 712/-. -G. Sashikumar, Tripunithura
