I have a compaq presario cq 40 415 au. Man thsi laptp sucks..Initillay i had got some dead points on my lcd. on contacting service centre they told me that there should be atleast 8 points for warranty terms..well leave it... The only operating system that this laptop support is windows 7..as it is not sata enabled xp does not run on it..but what about vista... It doesnt run either..when i provided the service centre with windows vista dvd they told me that ur dvd is corrupted but they are lying as it was ok and i checked it on my desktop too..then i tried a new dvd and again they told me that dvd is corrupted..when i try to install vista ..after completing 90%, the laptop hangs always... but no solution from your side..More over my screen size is 14.1 inches ..it does not support full screen on most games..this laptop sucks and so hp... Most of the time when i am playing game son it it hangs and the system halts in allthe games although it has ati radeon graphic card 256 mb. I am thinking of going to consumer court as i have no other option left..Man i had bought this laptop fro games and it sucks... its lcd sucks, it cant run full screen game son windows 7... it cant install vista..why???
And the last servicc centre ..they are of no help... I think you are using old repair parts in cq 40 series and thats why they are so cheap...
A person at service centre told me that most of the cq 40 series users are facing lcd and all these problems... is it ok for you to do this.. you have wasted my time and money... You should have place d a tag on it..you can not play gamse on it..you cant install xp and vista on it... as far as xp is concerned its ok as it is not sata enabled but abt vista... seriously hp sucks... and i dont have any other options than going to consumer court... if u have any option for mr... plz contact me as soon as possible
