Product purchased has invalid serial numbe

On 17may i have purchased minilaptop of "Eeepc, ASUS" Rs.14, 800/- .

when i tried to register the product in customer care they said "your serial number in invalid & suggest to visit andheri service center". At andheri office engineer said." this product is illegal, the country-ship of this product is USA, so get replace from dealer".

now the dealer is saying "serial number ko goli maaro, jab laptop me kuchh technical problem hogi tab aana OR agar replace karna hai to Rs. 2000? - aur dena padega"
