I purchased this laptop model no. pavilion dv6-3150se, from Dubai (JUMBO ELECTRONICS) ON 18 OCTOBER. they gave me this system with 64 bit windows operating system. on 10 january my windows got crashed.
i visited HP- Authorised service center IN TARV TECHNOLOGIES LIMITED.at 33A RAMA ROAD, IDUSTRIAL AREA, KIRTI NA GAR, NEW DELHI -15 on 13th of january. and there i met the service engineer Mr. Jatin. who inspected the laptop and told me that my hard disc is crashed and needs to be replaced. they also told me that with this replacement you will get the same Original operating system and you wont have any problems. and the charges will be Rs. 6200/-, they asked for one day time for all this. i agreed and handed over the laptop to Mr. Jatin.
next day when i called to collect my laptop they asked me to wait for one more day. they took 4 days to repair my laptop. finally When i visited again to collect my laptop, i found that they replaced the hard disc of 500 GB and installed window 7 (32 Bit) operating system. when i asked why they have done this i got the reply that HP dosent have this 64 Bit Operating System hence they have installed 32 Bit window. they also told me that this will work fine and i will not get any problem with this as this will run as good as 64 bit on my laptop. when i checked the FINGER TOUCH SENSOR, MULTIMEDIA KEYS AND ALL SHORT KEYS WERE NOT WORKING. for this they told me that you can download the drivers of all these from HP site on your own. when i asked if this doset work properly after installation of other softwares, i got the answer that there is no problem as you have got better deal as 32 Bit is compatible to most of the prevelent softwares as compared to 64 Bit windows.
when i came back home and installed remaing drivers form HP site i got the reply that these drives wont work on your laptop as you have 32 Bit windows. to get all these funcitons working you need to reinstall your laptop with 64 Bit windows.
and now i am frustrated with this laptop as it keeps hanging. and most of the short keys, touch finger security dont work at all.
Now i dont know where to go ang get my system repaired. because as per the HP service centre they dont have 64 Bit windows.
