Today went and attended interview @ala tech at madiwala for their junior Software developer’s position. I was bit worried about going to this company after reading the complaint titled ‘fraud Company’ written in this forum. Also pointed out this to my friends who also wanted to attend interviews there. The facility gave us a mixed impression initially. Somany candidates were present. Most of them were freshers or candidates with 6months or less experience. We were expecting Mr. Hashim the so called fraud owner of the company to give some crap stories and unrealistic career plans. But we were interviewed in a different manner. We were asked to answer tough questions. I was expecting some kind of cash bond request and less complicated questions and was not prepared for the same. Fortunately or unfortunately I was selected for the second round of technical, but my close friend got kicked out after first round which made me leave these interviews and go back. Then I thought I will spend half day for this and go through the rest of ordeal. Meantime lunch break came and I got chance to speak to few of their employees. I asked them about the cash bond which I heard before. I did not get a proper answer for this, and they all seemed busy trying to meet some project deadline.
Later I was introduced to Mr. Hashim who instead of interviewing me directed me to another room where some people from another company was interviewing selected candidates from first round. I was also interviewed by these guys who seemed like an entirely different entity. This time, the interview was not much tough. Also one of these guys was little friendly, so I got the courage to ask them about Mr. Hashim’s involvement in this venture (and chances of cheating by him). I was expecting them to react bad, but the answer relieved me bit. They said, they have a fully dedicated team of engineers working on their company’s software project and new module development require more people where alatech is providing fresh engineers for their project & the initial training expenses are being paid by the other company. Since I had 6 months of experience in Asp.net and My SQL, I don’t have to pay anything to anybody. Then I wondered why my friend has been rejected despite he was able to arrange some money to try his luck. But I was told aptitude is main thing and from Mr. Hashim’s previous experience he did training for 150 engineers after taking money from them thinking he can train anybody and make them secure jobs, but he failed. Out of 150 people he hired an year ago for some other company, he was unable to place 22 of them in good companies in 8months giving lot of problems. I think may be ‘guruswamy’ u were a part of that batch. but I think most of your colleagues has been placed in good companies! did u check with them? If you were cheated why can’t you go direct and have a word with these people instead of confusing people like us? I know how difficult it is to get a job as a fresher. I am going through this, since I passed out of college.
Now I was told, if im selected I will be working in eco space, marthahalli in the other company’s pay roll from the Day 1 which seems not bad. Fingers crossed. Whatever is the option in front of me, if I get a chance to work on a good project, I decided to give it a try.
