My consumer No. 46033 is registered with Jayalakshmi Enterprises, Nanganallur Chennai for Indane gas. Last delivery of refil was made on 14.11.09.As per their instructions, I registered for refil on 05.12.09 after a gap of 21 days. While booking for refil, they have advised me that refil will be delivered within a week.
When I enquired on 11.12.09, they informed that refil will be delivered on 12.12.09. Again on 12.12.09, I was informed that they would deliver on 12.12.09. I was very much annoyed. On 14.12.09 when I enquired, they lethargically said that delivery will be made today or tomorrow (15.12.09). After a marathon hunting, the refil was delivered today (14.12.09)
In this regard, I would like to mention that they have delivered the refil after 30 days from the last supply date or 9 days from the date of booking for refil after lapse of 21 days as per their guidelines. Normally a cylinder will last for 25 to 27 days in normal usage. The lock in period of 21 days imposed causes much hardship to the consumer. If they deliver with 2-3 days from the date of booking, then the lock in period of 21 days can be acceptable. As they are not delivering in time, the period of delivery is indirectly extended to 30 days which is highly a risky one as we would go out of fuel as the second cylinder will also go out if refil is not delivered in time.
Please take up the matter with Indian Oil Corporation who is Indane supply authority to withdraw the 21 days lock in period or advise them to issue suitable strict instructions to deliver the refils within 2-3 days from the date of booking for refil after 21 days of lock in period.
