CSIR/NET coaching by Falcon Acedamy, Bangalore
CSIR/NET coaching by Falcon institutions

I joined CSIR-NET coaching in Bangalore center of Falcon Academy. I was told that classes will begin on 16 February (Wednesday), and will continue till mid- June. The course will be of 6 Hours each week, with 2 Hours classes on three days in a week. There will be a unit test every fortnight, and couple of mock test will be arranged.

- I was told that classes will begin on same day or next day (18th or 19th of Feb.) but it did not happen.

- After almost one month, there were only three classes held on 27th Feb, 6th March, and 13th March. First class was of half an hour, next two were of approximately 4 hours, each.

- There is no regular timing of the class. I was informed about class timing before the class only.

- There was no intellectual gain in any of the class and thereby, there is no step forward for CSIR-NET exam preparation. In first class, syllabus and format of exam was discussed. In second class, introduction to two subjects (Solid state physics and Quantum Physics) was given. In third class, introduction to physics (of PUC level) was given which was clearly of no relevance to CSIR-NET exam.

- In all three classes new faculty came and there appears a clear lack of focus. Next class was also taken by a new faculty.

- There are 15 units to be covered for Part B and C of exam in four months. In one month I expected atleast finishing of three units, but Falcon academy has not even started one unit seriously. And no test has been conducted.

- All units were taught by faculty who himself is not NET qualified (neither he has earned a PhD). Think of this for a moment, how can a faculty who himself has not appeared or qualified in a tough exam like NET, can know the complexity of its questions and give tricks to deal with them!!!

- We conveyed all these issues (by phone as well as email) to Bangalore centre in-charge Mr. Mani (ph. no. 8144921555) and Ms Priya (ph. no. 8144921500), but there is no satisfactory response from these people. Unfortunately, the situation is same for other courses also, like CSIR-NET (Mathematics), CSIR-NET (Chemistry).

- The pace with which we are being coached for NET, I think it would be difficult to complete whole syllabus in one more year

- There is mammoth difference in level of commitment while admitting me and now. There is no responsible person with whom I can talk. It looks like you people have no sense of responsibility and just wasting time.
