Some teachers of the Department of German, UnIversity of Mumbai have meted out a nasty treatment to me in the past (2007 - 2008) and I thought that I should come out with it, since I have had a spate of health problems keeping it all a secret, which would be deadly if I continue to keep it:
One of my teachers used to harass me and a few other students a lot. She was prejudiced against me and used to give her private notes out to her favorite student without equidistributing them to all the students. Moreover, she played such havoc around the department that I was feeling troubled. That faculty had done a lot of injustice to me and to the others in the following ways:
She used to perceive sensitive students as "crazy" and ask them to go for counseling.
She would make all the girls cry by shouting at them and publicly humiliating them before their classmates and denigrating them by telling all the wrong stuff about them to the other staff. This made the other staff, who used to be nice to me, biased against me and they started behaving rudely toward me all of a sudden.
Instead of simply teaching and doing her duty properly as a teacher, she used to ask me to be 'sociable' and despite the fact that I stood first, she never acknowledged it, but tried to harass me by preventing me from taking notes during the class, so that her favorite student could stand first in the class. Moreover, there was not enough material to study and even pass the exams. So, even if I made notes during the class, she used to shout at me.
My fellow students were not good either. They used to ignore me and keep me away from them, except when they wanted notes or some favors. In fact, one of them recently made me lose my job (that I got with such hard-work and on my own merit). She tried to contact through some social networking site, when she wanted a job. What a witch! I resigned my job because of her, so that I would not have to get humiliated by her.
I have lost all interest in the German language and in any possibility of studying with that department or working again in any fields related to that language, particularly because of the faculty and my former classmates and also because of the fact that I not only lost my livelihood, but also my health because of them.
My classmates were extremely selfish and one day when I approached them for help, they tried to avoid me. Forgetting all that, these witches tried to contact me when they needed a favor from me. Moreover, the faculty that I was talking about is more of a criminal than a teacher, since she has not only constantly screamed at me when I was a student, but constantly controlled me. She has made me lose my career, my academic rewards, my achievements and my image in the department as well as in the University. She is not only nasty, but also very interfering. She used to nag about me with all the teachers and the former staff of the German department and once she also called me "obsessed" for actually trying to be a perfectionist at my academics. She is not only crazy, but also does not deserve working at the University of Mumbai as a faculty. In fact, when my classmates used to tease or irritate me or rag me indirectly, she used to say, "why can't you have fun? They are just joking." This teacher has also scolded me several times for being late to class, when she barely knows the hardships of an individual, who has to travel to the University from afar by extremely crowded trains. She barely also knows the stress that the students have to undergo when there is load-shedding in the areas, where some students reside. She also never knew the hardships of the students, who had to struggle to live in a noisy area or neighborhood and she calls herself a teacher! She once even called me to her room and insulted me by asking me whether I come from a bad family background, to which I replied in the negative (and the truth is that I come from an extremely good background). Moreover, she used to give us homework and expect us to do it properly without providing anyone, but her favorite student the materials. How come the German department does not realize why it does not get enough students after such misbehavior with its students?
The result of her nasty actions did rebound on that teacher and her favorite student, when her favorite student got her result as a "null and void" (In fact, I still wonder whether the credentials of this student were genuine). My credentials are genuine, but these people still prefered that 'pet student' of theirs. These people really deserve it for whatever they did to me!
