'Right to Education'
Noncompliance of 'RTE'

Dear Sir,

I am a retired employee. My grand daughter is studying in class II in a private school ' New Era Progressive School' in Korba. Govt. of India and state Govt. of Chhattisgarh have passed RTE last year and declared FREE education to students up-to an age of 14 years. Govt has deployed a big administrative staff for compliance of this. I feel the responsible authorities are not serious for compliance and private institutes right from Play school up are practically looting the parents on account of educating their kids. The books prescribed by the school are very costly (non below hundred) and that to compulsorily BUY from schools at printed rates including color pencils and clay. The enrollment fee includes developmental charges every year (Rs -).

I don't know who is responsible for compliance of RTE i.e. 'FREE' education to these future Indians. Of course it should be District Education Officer and District Collector. Unfortunately I am at District Place only.
