Maruti driving school
Poor service, management and processing of driving license

Maruti runs a motor training school under the name of Sai Service Station ltd. The also process the license for a handsome amount. Everyone tends to go with the popularity and reputation of the company to provide you good service.

However, my opinion about them has changed with my experience of processing the driving license. They are as commercialized as other small time driving schools & is absolutely no value for money. I gave my driving test for my permanent license in the first week of August & yet to receive my license as on date which is 18th November. It was also informed to the staff at the driving school that I would be going overseas and it is essential for me to get my license. After regular follow-ups, some of the astonishing & annoying answers received by the employees were:

1. The R.T.O. has misplaced the documents - So what? If am paying Sai service, is it not their responsibility to follow-up for it? Of course they don't see it as a liability as they would not give you a receipt for processing your license as they play a critical role in bribing as well as filling their own pockets.

2. The manager who was there when you applied for the license has resigned - So does your business come to a stand still and how do you run it for 3 months and suprisingly yet don't have a replacement. A sales manager who is currently handling the driving school does not have the basic etiquettes and professionalism to reply to an email or answer a call as he has been in a meeting since the past 72 hours (Something that should probably go in the Guiness Book of World records).

3. Some of the staff who answer the call keep passing the buck to others - Am I dealing with individuals who work in silos or with an organization. I would certainly like to give this feedback to the management if I have their contact details that the staff certainly don't posess the required job knowledge or the way to deal with customers.

4. No dedicated resources for customer complaint about the driving school makes me ask myself, is it really anywhere related to Sai Service or Maruti if they cannot take the complaint on the numbers which feature on the website, who else can?

This is purely an unprofessional way of doing things and makes it even difficult when you are sitting overseas and people spend their time and money to get things sorted. Will we ever have a system of suing such organizations in our country or will we always remain a developing country?
